Benchtop unit shown is configured to open and close tamper evident 45ml flip top sample vials (unit will accomodate most specimen vial types and sizes) . It is designed to add automated aliquotting and batch creation to an accessioning work cell while requiring only 2-3 seconds of touch time per sample. This single piece flow equipment is ideal for individual accessioners capable of processing up to 200 samples per hour. This solution is scalable to provide larger labs with capacity to process thousands of samples per shift.
The instrument works in parallel with the lab technician, allowing liquid handling and chain of custody tasks for a given specimen to be performed while the next sample is being prepared for the instrument.
